ADVICE

practical advice before embarking

In a boat, space is very limited so you should try to limit the luggage and carry it in a non-rigid bag.

REMEMBER TO BRING THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION TO GO TO PORTUGAL

clothing   hygiene
Comfortable shoes, preferably  with laces and non-marking soles.

Flip-flops to use in the harbour showers.

Warm clothing: Bring rainjacket or similar, sweater, hat. It can get cold, even in summer, especially during the night.

To protect yourself from the sun bring a hat, cap, sunglasses and suncream.

We also advise you to bring your snorkling gear to enjoy the submarine world.

Aboard the boat you dispose of a toilet and hot water shower. You will have to bring both bath and beachtowel.

The toilet should be used for emergencies only. If possible, you should always use the toilets on shore. In harbours it is not allowed to use the toilet or shower aboard the boat.

If you decide to use the boat´s toilet remember that anything that has not come out of your body could clog up the system and leave you and the rest of the crew with a very ugly smell for the rest of the journey.

After using the toilet use the manual pump to clean the system.

cooking   sleeping
The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker and you will find the necessary pots and pans to prepare a simple meal and eat it (plates, cutlery, etc.)

We advise you to bring pre-cooked meals from home. These can be kept in the boat´s fridge and preparing elaborate meals aboard can be a bit complicated.

Aboard our boats you will find pillows (cushions) and sheets for 8 persons. The best thing to do is to bring your sleeping bag. We can bring you some blankets but you have to tell us some time before embarking.
